Communicate valuable information to your colleagues in a clear, concise manner by creating a poster for the 2010 MHSLA Conference in East Lansing, MI (October 13-15, 2010). Posters will be displayed Thursday, October 14 from 1-5 and poster presenters will be stationed at their posters from 3:30-4:30.

Submit your poster title and abstract (150 words or less) to Diana Balint by July 1, 2010. If you have any additional questions about posters, please contact Diana: diana.balint@oakwood.org or 734-362-6745.

Pecha Kucha Returns
Friday, October 15 – 1 to 3 p.m.

Pecha Kucha is a structured way to present a Power Point show with panache and punch. You are allowed twenty slides, twenty seconds per slide, to present on a topic of your choosing. You have a total of six minutes and forty seconds to make your point; then, it’s on to the next presenter. Pecha Kucha is devised and shared by Klein Dytham architecture. For more information go to http://www.pecha-kucha.org.

This year’s session will be offered from 1 – 3 p.m. on Friday. We need presenters! Topics can be very broad-ranging: projects underway at your library; new services; challenges you’re facing; trends in medicine, librarianship or technology. Anything that gets you excited is likely to interest your colleagues as well.

To sign up as a presenter, or for more information, contact Jennifer Barlow at jenniferbarlow@borgess.com or 269-226-6875.
